Woman in court over assault claims

A woman has appeared in court charged with assault to severe injury following the death of another woman.

Police were called to a report of a 38-year-old woman seriously injured in her flat in Shettleston Road, Shettleston, Glasgow, at around 9.50pm on Monday January 23.

She was taken to the city's Southern General Hospital but died on Wednesday.

Diane Orr, 40, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life, said the Crown Office.

She made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
