Plans to reform double jeopardy law

The First Minister is due to unveil plans to reform the double jeopardy law.

Alex Salmond will outline 10 new proposals for legislation as part of his statement on the Government programme to the Scottish Parliament.

His spokesman said: "It will include a double jeopardy Bill. The first time it will have been promulgated as a Bill will be in the legislative programme."
