Body in field is missing pensioner

A body found in a field next to a road has been identified as a pensioner who went missing from his home last week, police said.

Matthew Jardine, 72, was last seen in Seedhill Road Mini Mart in Paisley, Renfrewshire, at about 4.30pm last Tuesday.

Mr Jardine, of Anchor Drive, Paisley, had not been missing before.
