Minimum alcohol price 'disasterous'

Plans to introduce a minimum price for alcohol would be "disastrous", a leading drinks manufacturer will warn.

Whisky makers Whyte and Mackay fear that the Scottish Government's proposals to bring in a minimum price per unit for alcohol could "decimate" the own label drinks market.

The firm, which employs 480 people, will speak out against the controversial measure at Holyrood on Wednesday.
