Man dies in seven-car pile-up

A man died in a seven-car pile-up on the A7, fire and rescue services said.

A motorcycle was also involved in the collision, which happened two miles north of Hawick, in Roxburghshire, in the Scottish borders, shortly after 11am.

Three other people were taken to hospital, Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said.
