Murphy to visit troubled shipyard

Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy will visit a closure-threatened shipyard after a leaked memo reportedly suggested the building of warships could be scaled back.

Mr Murphy will make the trip to BVT shipyard in Scotstoun, Glasgow. He has pledged Government support after reports said two of the firm's British shipyards could close.

It prompted an angry reaction from union leaders and opposition parties.
