Greens 'on track for first MEP'

The Scottish Green party has said it was on course to return its first member to the European Parliament.

A poll commissioned by the party showed it could win 18% of the vote, ahead of the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives.

This would more than double its share in 2004, when two Green MEPs were elected for English regions.
