Wellington pupils perform in honour of Rabbie

GOVERNORS, staff and pupils were treated to an excellent evening’s entertainment at Wellington School’s annual Burns Supper.

This year it also celebrated the year of the Homecoming.

Pupils from S4, S5, and S6 performed recitations and delivered traditional Burns supper speeches.

Eilidh Grant delivered an excellent Address to the Haggis, which was piped in by Frank Fitzsimmons of Maybole Pipe Band.

Highlights of the evening were solo singer Scott Liddle of S5 singing ‘Ae Fond Kiss’ and solo violinist Alex Young of S6, as well as the Madrigal Group singing Loch Lomond.

The delicious meal was ably served by pupils from S1 and S2.
