CLASS 2C2, accompanied by Mrs Yancouskie, Mrs Hunter and Mr Gibson, visited Stirling Castle and Bannockburn on Tuesday, November 4. Four sixth year students, Lewis Read, Simon Lamb, Claire Cochrane and Ashleigh Harvey, also attended in a supervising role.

In the morning they conducted a self led trip round Stirling Castle and visited the ramparts and all the main historically significant apartments. After lunch, the staff of the centre showed a short film about the battle and its historical significance. Hands-on demonstrations followed. Pupils were dressed up in chain mail, handled the weapons of the era and gained some practical insight into the period and the battle.
