SAMBA style rocked Ayr beach as schoolkids took to the sand during the October holidays.
South Ayrshire Council’s community safety partnership held a Samba Soccer Challenge to keep the kids busy.
And the action took place on the sand inside a new portable multi-use games area (MUGA).
The pupils took part in a series of one on one matches with trophies handed out to overall winner Patrick O’Hara and runner-up Conner McInally.
Councillor Margaret Toner, chair of the partnership, said: “MUGA is a portable games facility that can be used almost anywhere and on any surface.
“It can be quickly and easily assembled, at locations where there are not specific surfaces for sports, taking additional sports facilities to communities across South Ayrshire.”
