YOUNG people in South Carrick can this week visit an event with training providers, local employers and college representatives, all under the same roof.
The School’s Out Opportunities Day, co-ordinated through a partnership between Ayr College, Careers Scotland, and the Community Learning and Development Service of South Ayrshire Council, is aimed at those who have recently left school or about to leave.
Young people can can find out about a range of opportunities for employment, education and training available throughout Ayrshire.
As well as the information stands hosted by a range of agencies and organisations, there will also be consultation stations where participants will be asked to give their views on their perceived difficulties in finding employment.
This feedback will be used to help design future programmes to help young people into work, with participants receiving a complimentary goody bag.
The event is on Friday, June 6, at the Carrick Buildings Learning Centre, Girvan, between 11am and 2pm.
