Minishant Primary kids sample fine cuisine at local restaurant

PUPILS at a village school had their most exotic lunch of the year when they were given an invitation to the Minishant Tandoori.

Restaurant boss Mafiz Ali invited the Minishant Primary pupils to come and sample his cuisine.

Mafiz and his staff had tables beautifully set for the young guests, who enjoyed tasting treats like pakora, bahji and samosas.

Mafiz also explained the herbs and spices used in classic dishes that the Indian sub-continent has given the world.

A school spokesman said: “We all had a great time, and the pupils had a fascinating insight into another culture.”

Mafiz will be taking his delicious pakora to Minishant village fete on Saturday, June 7, at 1pm.
