Inspectors praise Queen Margaret Academy

POLITE pupils who do well in exams.

That’s how school inspectors rate Queen Margaret Academy in their latest report.

Other strengths include improvements made by the new head teacher Moira Gray and the support provided to pupils with special needs from staff and fellow pupils.

Inspectors have published their report months after carrying out a detailed examination of the Ayr school, which has 689 pupils.

They interviewed pupils, staff, parents and the local community, observed lessons and inspected pupils’ work as part of the process.
