DUNDONALD Flower Show will take place in the Montgomerie Hall, Dundonald, on Sunday, September 7. Entries will be accepted between noon and 3pm on the day and entry fee to all classes is 25p, maximum fee £5.
Schedules are available from the Post Office or Totally Pampered, both in the Main Street. Exhibitors from Dundonald and surrounding areas. Are welcome to participate Doors open to the public at 5.45pm and entry prices are adults 60p, children 30p.
Trophies will be presented at 7.45pm and will include the results of the Best Kept Garden/Container Competition which was well supported again this year.
A Question & Answer session commences at 6.15pm through to 7.30 pm. Anyone with any gardening questions should put their questions in writing and take along to the Post Office or to Totally Pampered. Refreshments will be available, donated by Dundonald Rural for whose support the committee are extremely grateful.
Once again Dundonald Flower Show have been able to provide the hanging baskets which have been installed through the Main Street and the tubs at the three entrances to the village have been kindly planted by Arthur and Patricia Spurling.
ANDREW and Fiona Douglas give a huge thank you to all those who braved the torrential rain and the quagmire in the field to support their stall so well.
They took in £304 on the day and once cash in hand and donations were added in a cheque for £538 was sent to MacMillan Cancer Support headquarters in Clydebank.
THE AGM of the Craft and Social Club will be held on Thursday, September 4, at 2pm in the Montgomerie Hall. The Club restarts on Thursday, September 11, at 2pm. All newcomers welcome.
BIG ENDS Scottish Quiz entries must be returned by September 9. They should be returned to the butcher's shop or to any member.
Quiz forms are still available from the butcher's shop.
THE 45th AGM of the Burns Club will take place in the Old Castle Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday, September 3 at 8pm.
All members should make an effort to attend as important changes are to be proposed in the way the Club is run. Subscriptions will be due after the AGM.
