A PERVERT claimed he committed a sex act on a bus because his private parts were itchy.
Alistair Davis pleasured himself on the Ayr to Cumnock bus on the evening of February 16 this year.
And when he was spotted performing the disgusting stunt, he smiled back at the woman and carried on regardless.
Eventually, the woman shouted at Davis to stop what he was doing, and pointed out that children were on board.
When the bus reached Mauchline, another passenger confronted 19-year-old Davis. By that time he had finished what he was doing and put his feet up telling the woman: It was itchy.
A passenger got off the bus and reported the matter to nearby police.
Davis was arrested near Cumnock.
But he told them he suffered from a condition called Balanitis, which causes an inflammation of the penis.
A police doctor later confirmed this.
At Ayr Sheriff Court this week, Davis sat smiling in the dock with an appropriate adult.
He pleaded guilty to committing an offence of public indecency.
Defence lawyer Peter Lockhart told Sheriff John Montgomery that Davis has since been expelled from college.
Mr Lockhart added: Its not clear if this is an isolated incident or if there is some underlying issue.
After reading background reports on Davis, Sheriff John Montgomery placed Davis, of Craigie View in Tarbolton, on supervision for a year and placed him on the sex offenders register for one year.
