A PRIMARY school teacher groomed a former pupil and sexually assaulted her in his car.
Stewart Scott also pestered another little girl over MSN messenger.
His abuse of the 12 and 13-year-olds came after he told them to keep in touch when they moved on to secondary school.
The Catrine creep bombarded the youngsters with text messages and even persuaded one of them to send him a topless picture of herself between December 2010 and January 2011.
And the twisted paedophile performed a sex act while she watched on a webcam.
During a webcam chat with his other victim – while he was half naked – Scott told the girl it was unfair that he was topless and she wasn’t.
He also asked the youngster to send him photos of herself and asked her to go for a drive in his car.
When she did, between September and November 2010, Scott kissed and sexually assaulted her.
Scott was caught when the little girl told a school pal and staff were alerted.
When he was questioned, Scott told police he had a problem outwith his control.
At Ayr Sheriff Court, he admitted using MSN and a webcam for indecent purposes involving underage girls, and using lewd, libidinous and indecent practices towards a girl in his car.
Sheriff Desmond Leslie deferred sentence for reports.
A colleague of Scott, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s still so shocking. He seemed like a lovely young guy with a fiancee and a totally normal life. He didn’t seem like a creep or a weirdo.
“It’s difficult enough to attract men into teaching, particularly primary school teaching. This certainly won’t help. He’s not making it easy to attract decent hard-working men to teaching.”
As well as being a teacher at a primary school in East Ayrshire, Scott, of Gordon Street, was also heavily involved with coaching children’s football teams, including a girls’ team.
The small community was left stunned when he was arrested and suspended from his job.
Former Auchinleck Academy pupil Scott was brought up in the Ayrshire countryside in an area known as the ‘five mile cut’, between Ochiltree and Mauchline.
He studied primary teaching at the University of Paisley and graduated from the Craigie campus in 2007.
Scott completed his probationary year at the same school where he met the young girls.
He was offered permanent supply work in 2010 before landing a full-time permanent post later in the year.
Graham Short, executive director of educational for East Ayrshire Council, said: “We are aware that this individual has pled guilty to serious criminal charges in respect of sexual offences against certain young people. In that regard, the individual concerned remains suspended, pending the outcome of the council’s internal disciplinary policy and procedures.”
