HELLO hope you're all doing well everyone!
In between flying my kite, I've been out there enjoying some brilliant musical adventures in Ayrshire.
And I’ve got some great news this week in the shape of the superb Julia Doogan, who will be performing live on the internet from her house on Sunday night at 9pm.
She's a good friend and beautifully gifted singer and songwriter.
This will be well worth checking out if you're free.
She’s come to perform in Ayrshire a few times in 2011 and it's always great to have her down from Glasgow.
She's just had her song New York City released on a New York label called The Family Records Singles Club and it's being received very well over there.
A trip over the water is also on the cards.
For more information on Julia's live performance on Sunday check out www.facebook.com/juliaandthedoogans
lFriday see's Ayr's Rose Parade performing at Room in Largs for the first time.
It's a great venue with a really fine atmosphere and from taking a visit to recording studios in Glasgow with the band last week, I can safely say that they're on fire at the moment and with a debut album in the making they're going to go on to some big things in 2012.
lThis Saturday at 7pm will see the a big gig take place at Kilmarnock Grand Hall with The Sonic Templars, Wee Free Men, Twisted Rainbow and more.
The Sonic Templars are an exciting band and I really enjoy them.
Singer Stewart Bryden has a great voice and the band always put on a great show, as do Wee Free Men with a lot of energy and passion in every performance.
The gig is in aid of the Samaritans charity and is sure to be a very positive event.
lIt's always good to mention people out there who are covering music events and writing about all things concerning music.
This week I'm sharing with you a great writer by the name of Ross Muir, a gentleman from Prestwick who writes for the FabricationsHQ Blog.
There are features on albums, events and musicians and really such a great and diverse range of subjects – a lot of interesting pieces in there.
Some of my personal favourites are pieces on Glam Rock heroes The Sweet and a guest piece on guitar hero Yngwie Malmsteen.

lA real Christmas feast right there.
