BRAVE Robyn Sneddon has been to hell and back in a battle to save her leg.
The 13-year-old was born with seven toes on her right foot and a badly deformed tibia.
She has spent much of her life as a patient at Great Ormond Street hospital and endured scores of painful operations.
Most recently, Belmont Academy pupil Robyn has undergone pioneering surgery in a last ditch attempt to save her leg.
But Robyn and her family took a well deserved night off from worrying, got their glad rags on and headed to the West Sound Cream of Ayrshire Awards.
Robyn was presented with a Child Bravery Award after judges were incredibly moved by her brave battle.
The West Sound awards was a chance to celebrate the good and the great in the community.
Brenda Ritchie, station manager, said: “It is quite amazing to hear of so many people who do so many things every day to make Ayrshire a better place to live and work.
The audience on the evening were entertained by 2010 X-Factor contestant Gamu, along with a lively set from Michelle McManus.
The evening was closed by Ayrshire's Little Fire with an acoustic performance of Caledonia, quite fitting for the beautiful setting of the Brig O Doon.
Robyn was presented with her much-deserved award by Liz-ann McMenemy from T French and Son haulage company who sponsored the award.
