Cinema round up May 27

THE FIRST Hangover film was such a success, the team behind it have come back with another offering of the stag-do capers.

The follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy sees Phil, played by Bradley Cooper; Stu, played by Ed Helms; Alan, played by Zach Galifianakis, and Doug played by Justin Bartha head off to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding.

But after the unforgettable stag-do in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch.

But as you may suspect, things don’t go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.

A good film for switching off the brain and just sitting back watching the men move from drama to drama.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid follows the ups and downs of wise-cracking middle school student Greg Heffley over the course of an academic year.

With an all-star line up of Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall and Dennis Hopper, it’s a rare opportunity to see this classic film on the big screen and one that should be grabbed while you can.

Watch out too for special screenings of Taxi Driver, another cult classic starring Robert De Niro to mark the 35th anniversary of its release.

One film not to be missed if you fancy some good old fashioned entertainment and comic capers is Pirates of the Caribbean Four.

A must-see family film.
