Get set for a Series of Controlled Explosions

GET READY for an explosive day of entertainment.

For a music festival with a difference will kick off in Ayr next weekend.

The event – called A Series of Controlled Explosions – will show off just what the Auld Toun has to offer to music fans.

Adrian Young, who is organising the event in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice, explained: “During the first part of the day we will take the audience on a tour of the town on foot. We’ll visit forgotten spaces and under-used venues.

“We will have a series of acoustic and electric acts set up ready to play.

And the tour will be a thrilling spectacle for everyone involved.

Adrian added: “It will be a complete secret and a mystery to those attending, they won’t know where we are going or who will be playing.

“We're aiming to exceed expectations of what we can stage, and to create exciting moments which will be a thrill to witness and be part of.”

Later in the day, people will get to enjoy a four- band bill in Fury’s nightclub.

This Familiar Smile, Galleries, Simon Doherty and Paws will wow the crowds.

And revellers will have free tickets into Fury Murry’s for the after party.

Adrian and his pal Kenny Bates are hoping to raise a whopping amount for the hospice during the day.

A raffle will also take place – and even that has a unique twist to it.

The day starts at 3pm next Sunday, October 24 from the Arran Mall in Ayr.

Tickets are available from Su Casa coffee house in Ayr’s Lorne Arcade and Harley’s bar in Nile Court.
