TICKETS for this year’s Jam at the Dam are selling in their hundreds.

And we have five pairs of the hottest tickets in town to give away.

The second Jam at the Dam is guaranteed to be fun for all the family, with eight hours of top quality music to get the crowd going.

All proceeds from the gig will help restore the beleagured Gaiety Theatre back to its former glory.

Organiser Brian McKinley said: “Jam at the Dam will be a brilliant day out and by helping the Gaiety Theatre, we’ll be helping the whole auld toon.

“Last year was a big success but we want to top that this year, fingers crossed the sun shines and people come out in force to enjoy the day and raise money for the Gaiety.”

Eight Ayrshire bands will be rocking Dam Park all day long on August 1.

Blackberry Jack, The Schemes, Madnish, Little Fire, Electric Warrior, The Marauders, Preacher and The Sensational Alex Harvey Tribute Band can’t wait to take to the stage and entertain.

All bands have a massive fan base and they are sure to impress even music fans at Jam at the Dam.

The variety of music on offer will ensure there is something to suit everyone’s taste.

A beer tent, snack bar, stalls and fairground attractions will all ensure Jam at the Dam 2 is a day to remember.

Gates open at 1pm and the bands play right through until 9pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 and under 14s get in for free with a paying adult.

They are available from the Market Inn, Gaiety fundraising shop in Ayr High Street or by phoning 01292 611482.
