AN ART lover has put on her first art exhibition – at the age of 87.
Helen Ford’s artwork is on display at Prestwick’s Biggart Hospital, the place she recovered from a life-threatening illness.
Helen grew up in Ayr and worked for the Clydesdale Bank.
But in retirement, Helen had a stroke and suffered from short term memory loss.
A recuperative rest period saw Helen as a resident in the Biggart’s Anderson Ward.
Helen now resides at Mathieson care home in Ayr.
But she continues to live life to the full.
As well as her artwork, fun-loving Helen has plenty of hobbies.
She is an honorary member of Belleisle Golf Club and regularly swims at the Fairfield Hotel.
Helen is hoping to sell some of her artwork.
It can be viewed at the Biggart and anyone who is interested in purchasing some of her work can contact staff at Mathieson house on 01292 262742.
