Derek makes a long awaited return to Ayr.

THE UK’s best known psychic can’t wait to return to the Ayrshire coast.

Derek Acorah will play host to a packed crowd at Ayr’s Citadel Leisure Centre next month.

And he says it’s been a long timecoming.

Derek told the Ayrshire Post: “I was last in Ayr nine years ago when I performed at the Gaiety theatre.

“The people up there are so kind and I just love the Ayrshire coast.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back.

“Hopefully, I’ll see some faces that were there all those years ago, as well as some new people.”

Derek, the star of Living TV’s Most Haunted series, is in the middle of a much anticipated UK tour.

He said: “I’ve been getting great feedback so far. People really seem to be enjoying it, that’s the main thing for me.

“Dealing with the death of a loved one is one of the worst things we go through. So it’s good to be able to help the people that I give readings for.”

Derek shot to fame in the years following his Gaiety appearance.

He has starred in several TV programmes and has written top selling books.

But he says this is what he enjoys most.

Derek continued: “I still enjoy touring just as much as I did then. Mainly down to the live work I do with people, you are dealing with people’s emotions. You don’t get to see anything like that through a tv camera.”

Derek plays at the Citadel leisure centre on June 18.

Tickets are priced at £17.50 and are available by emailing amanda.nash@south-ayrshire.gov.uk or phoning 01292 269793.
