A BEBO pervert who molested a schoolgirl has finally been jailed.

Twisted James Hamilton committed his latest horrifying offence after befriending the girl’s mother over a social networking website.

Shortly after their brief relationship began, Hamilton moved in with the 35-year-old mum at her home in Drongan.

Weeks earlier, he had been put on the sex offenders register for molesting a 13-year-old girl in a busy shopping centre.

Justice finally caught up with the 21-year-old pervert this week when he was jailed for 15 months.

He pleaded guilty to using lewd and libidinous behaviour towards a 15-year-old at a house in the East Ayrshire village.

Vile Hamilton forced himself on the terrified youngster between June and August 2009.

He put his arm around her before sexually assaulting her.

It is Hamilton’s seventh conviction in just three years.

They include assault to injury with a bottle, several serious road traffic offences, breach of the peace with a bottle and misuse of drugs.

At Ayr Sheriff Court this week, Hamilton’s defence lawyer told Sheriff Jack McGowan: “This was an impulsive act. He’s a man who doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions.”

And he urged the sheriff to put Hamilton on a sex offenders treatment programme rather than send him to jail.

But Sheriff McGowan refused.

He told the sex beast: “It’s very odd behaviour, someone of your age becoming friends with a woman of 35 over a website, moving in with her and then committing this offence against her daughter.

“It is the case that you committed this offence a few weeks after you were placed on probation for what is described as an aggravated assault on a child that was sexual.

“I’ve come to the conclusion that I have to take this matter seriously.”

Hamilton’s first victim is still receiving counselling after the attack in Kilmarnock in December 2008.

Her mother said: “Her personality has done a complete 360. She is still having sleepless nights.

“I would bring back the death penalty for people like him.”

His latest victim’s family were too upset to comment.

Hamilton, of Witch Road in Kilmarnock, was also put on the sex offenders register for ten years.
