Mauchline hails Bard’s birthday
SOME of the best Burns events you’ll see anywhere are held in Mauchline.
And the wee town hosted another cracking event for the Bard‘s 251st birthday.
Families took advantage of the many fantastic free events on offer during the day.
These included Hopscotch Theatre Company’s production of Tam o’ Shanter.
There was also puppet-making by Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre.
And some incredible story-telling from Tony Bonning.
All these events took place within the Burns House Museum.
But there was more going on outside in the churchyard and in Castle Street.
East Ayrshire Council’s Arts and Museums organised the event, which continues to grow in popularity.
