A LITTLE boy had his head forced under water by the woman who was supposed to care for him.
Sandra Whyte also slapped the eight-year-old so hard that his head smashed off a wall.
The cruel Girvan woman admitted the vile crime when she appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court this week.
Sheriff Colin Miller was told that the boy lives with his father.
Social workers will now interview Whyte, 29, and prepare background reports on her.
She pleaded guilty to assaulting the boy at her home in Willow Drive on November 7 this year.
Callous Whyte forced his head underwater and slapped him causing his head to strike a wall all to his injury.
Her defence lawyer, Colin Adam, said: “She has never been involved in anything like this before. She is deeply remorseful.”
Whyte has two previous convictions including one road traffic matter in 1999.
She will be back in court for sentencing in the new year.
