Fifth swine flu death in Ayrshire and Arran

A FIFTH person has died from swine flu in Ayrshire and Arran.

The adult had underlying health problems.

The tragic news was confirmed by health secretary Nicola Sturgeon on Sunday.

She said: “It deeply saddens me to confirm another H1N1 related death. My thoughts are with the patient’s loved ones at this difficult time.

“I want to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to fight H1N1.”
