Thug beat up teenager at Ayr holiday park

A TEEN thug brutally attacked a 15-year-old he met at a holiday camp.

David Simpson had befriended his young victim at Craig Tara caravan park.

But the paranoid yob beat up the youngster after accusing him of talking about him.

The victim had to be taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment.

Simpson, 16, admitted the horrifying attack when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court this week.

A depute fiscal told Sheriff John Montgomery that Simpson attacked his victim in the play park on June 8 this year.

Simpson and the victim both went to another holiday makers chalet earlier in the evening.

At around 11pm, the group of pals went to the kids play park.

The victim was approached by Simpson who claimed that he had been talking about him.

The young teenager got up to leave but he was pulled to the ground from behind and Simpson repeatedly kicked his head and body.

He finished the sickening attack with a kick directly to the face.

Simpson ran away and the young victim was taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment.

Sheriff Montgomery deferred sentence on Simpson, of East Kilbride, for background reports.

He will be back in court next month.
