Ayr playwright's debut dawns

A PLAYWRIGHT is nervously counting down to his theatre company’s debut.

Chris Taylor’s Statistics opens at the Market Inn on Tuesday.

It’s the first production by Chris’ Hip Shot Theatre company and is the culmination of months of hard work.

Ayr man Chris, 26, wrote Statistics when he left the army. It is roughly based on his experience after he was discharged.

The clever, hard-hitting, gritty and funny play has been shown in the town before.

It was a smash success when it was put on at Ayr College three years ago. Now, Statistics will be shown to a wider audience, and is sure to be just as big a success as it was then.

Statistics is on at the Market Inn from Tuesday, October 20 until the following Saturday.
