Honest Men are backing bonnie lasses

THE Honest Men have given their backing to two bonnie lasses who are set for the New York Marathon in November.

Laura James and Laura Robertson, who will run on behalf of Multiple Sclerosis, got a rousing send-off from Ayr United's first-team squad.

United wished them all the best and donated a signed top which will be auctioned along with a Scotland shirt donated by manager George Burley, at a quiz night in Mauchline’s Black Bull Hotel on Thursday, October 22.

Laura James was badly injured in a recent car accident and is working frantically with her physio to get fit in time. She has received permission from the NY marathon authorities to take part, in spite of her injuries...even if she has to walk the course.

The two Lauras have already raised £10,500 but are keen to hit £12,000. They can be supported through the 'Just Giving' charity website by logging on towww.justgiving.com/the2lauras
