FUTURE students have the chance to find out more about university courses in Ayr.
The University of West of Scotland will hold an open day to showcase its full and part-time courses, along with new development plans.
The event takes place on Thursday, October 8 between 3-7pm.
Visitors will have the chance to learn about the creation of the university’s new £70million Ayr campus.
The new building is designed to the highest environmental rating – BREEAM Excellent (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method).
Advice on student funding and on full-time application through the UCAS application system will also be available at the event.
Mhairi Black, student recruitment manager, revealed: “The aim of this open day event is to provide prospective students with information on the full range of options available at our Ayr campus, so that they can make an informed choice about their future studies.
“This event is an ideal opportunity for school and college students, as well as for parents, teachers and advisors to find out what the university has to offer and to participate in interactive displays and demonstrations.”
Information sessions covering postgraduate primary and secondary teaching options are also taking place on the day, between 7.15pm-8.15pm.
