Boys' Brigade march in with cash

GENEROUS Boys’ Brigade members have raised hundreds of pounds for acharity that has touched their hearts.

The 1st Prestwick Boys’ Brigade raised £1150 for an abandoned babies home in Borisor.

They were motivated to fundraise after hearing about the plight of the people of Belarus.

Coylton woman Anne Parnaby works with the charity and gave a talk to the boys after a visit to the country.

Belarus is a country blighted by the radiation fallout from the Chernobyl disaster.

The contamination will affect the country for the foreseeable future meaning that people are dying younger, cancer is prevalent and immune systems are compromised.

The money raised by the Boys’ Brigade will buy much needed beds and buggies.

The big-hearted boys are pictured handing over the cheque to Anne Parnaby on behalf of The Belarus Fund.
