Pub play set to be a success

TICKETS for Ayrshire’s first play in a pub are selling fast.

Statistics will be shown in the Market Inn from Tuesday, October 20, until Saturday, October 24.

And although the team behind the play haven’t yet printed off posters advertising it, Statistics already looks set to be a sell-out success.

The production was written by Ayr man Chris Taylor when he left the army, and is roughly based on his experience after he was discharged.

Statistics is the first play to be put together by Theatre Seanachaidh (pronounced shonaka, meaning story teller in Gaelic), a company founded by Chris and pals Donald Stewart and Rikki Chamberlain.

The clever, hard-hitting, gritty and funny play has been shown in the town before.

Chris wrote the play more than three years ago and it was a smash success when it was put on at Ayr College.

Now, Statistics will be shown to a wider audience, and is sure to be just as big a success as it was then.

Tickets are priced at £10 and are available at the Market Inn or by contacting Chris on 0772 534 1299 or email christaylor.and.ayt@hotmail.co.uk
