Gail Pirie speaks out over breast cancer

THE daughter of football legend Ally MacLeod revealed that she’s winning her battle against breast cancer.
Gail Pirie of Prestwick explained how she ended up as s patient in the very hospital where she works as a nurse during a BBC documentary on Monday night.
My New Breast featured Gail and two other Ayrshire woman who undergo reconstructive surgery in the wake of the disease.
The 44-year-old spoke candidly about the affects of the disease every woman dreads.
She said: “I still think ‘nah, it’s not me, it’s somebody else.’
“It’s a strange feeling and I look in the mirror and think ‘that’s not me looking back.’”
