Special guests visit Bard’s birthplace

MEMBERS of Calgary Burns Club in Canada visited Burns National Heritage Park last Thursday.

They are appearing in the Edinburgh Tattoo this year and, earlier that day, had come to Ayrshire to perform in the ‘Taste of the Tattoo’ at Dumfries House, near Cumnock (see page 17).

The group simply couldn’t miss the opportunity to see where Burns was born, and after performing spent a happy hour-and-a-half seeing Burns Cottage and visiting the Tam O’ Shanter Experience in Alloway.
