WEE Catherine Bingham had an extra special birthday treat this year – a visit to the Scottish Parliament.
For the Ayr lass was one of 142 youngsters from across Scotland who celebrated their 10th birthdays in style.
They were each born on July 1, 1999, the same day the Scottish Parliament opened.
And as a result they were invited to a special celebration at Holyrood with the Queen as guest of honour.
Ayr MSP John Scott was delighted to meet Catherine and her parents.
He said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome the Binghams to the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday, especially with Her Majesty the Queen being in attendance as well.
“The parliament’s 10th anniversary was a huge success for the families and MSPs who attended, and properly marked the passing of the first 10 years of devolution.”
