PRESSURE is mounting on South Ayrshire Council to save Dalmilling golf course.
Council executive Roddy Macdonald was given a tour of the course by golfers desperate to win his support.
And Mr Macdonald pledged to listen to the concerns of the Ayrshire Dalmilling Action Group.
The group have also met with representatives of 15 golf clubs that play over South Ayrshire courses.
Talks are set to continue, but pressure is now building with the intervention of MP Sandra Osborne.
She has raised a complaint with the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman on behalf of her constituents.
ADAG spokeswoman Jackie Ridge said: “We understand that council officials are preparing a report to go to the elected members, which hopefully will give the correct information about Dalmilling and result in the councillors making the right decision and saving this golf course.”
