Youths face trial over trashed youth club
A GROUP of teenagers have been charged with wrecking a village youth club.
Jordan White, 17, David McKelvie, 18, and Jason White, 16, allegedly trashed the club within Drongan Primary School in front of terrified staff.
They all pled not guilty when they appeared before Sheriff John Montgomery at Ayr Sheriff Court this week.
It is alleged that on October 27 last year, they conducted themselves in a disorderly manner, formed part of a disorderly gang, entered the youth club, caused damage to the property by throwing paint, nail varnish, cooking oil and various food on walls and floors, moved items of furniture and damaged it, placed the people inside in a state of fear and alarm and committed a breach of the peace.
All three teenagers, who live in the village, are alleged to have carried out the attack at the youth club while on bail.
They will face a trial later this year.
