Susan Boyle portrait to go on show

A PORTRAIT of Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle goes on show this weekend.

Ayrshire artist Graham McKean has created the portrait, using pastels.

And it goes on show at the Art-in-the-City Gallery, in Howard Street, Glasgow, from Saturday, May 30.

It forms part of an exhibition by 12 leading Scottish artists, on the theme Some City Glasgow.

Graham said: “I produced this pastel as a tribute to Susan Boyle, as she makes me proud to be Scottish.”

Susan shot to international fame with her performances on TV show Britain’s Got Talent.

And the 48-year-old spinster has captured the hearts of millions across the world.

Graham, 47, from Troon, has a harbourside studio at Irvine.

He is known for paintings, with the human figure as the main inspiration for his work.

Graham will be exhibiting 12 large paintings, based on the signs of the Zodiac, for a major show in London’s Albemarle Gallery from July 2 to 25.

These paintings have a sale total price reckoned to be in six figures.
