Dive-bombing seagulls cause flap after attacking pensioners
PENSIONERS are the target of seagull attacks at a Prestwick housing complex.
The birds are swooping on vulnerable residents as they try to make it home with their shopping.
Now bosses at the complex have sent an investigation team to try and sort the problem.
Hanover Housing, who own the complex at Alexandra Court, mobilised a giant cherry picker to scan for birds’ nests.
The move comes after residents complained of dive-bombing gulls going for their groceries.
Complex manager Maureen Wilson revealed: “It’s become a common problem here over the years.
“Seagulls are swooping down on the residents in their gardens or when they come home with their shopping.
“The cherry picker was sent down to try and find evidence of any nests in the area.”
