Historic Coodham House on the market

ONE of Ayrshire’s most historic buildings goes on the market this weekend.

Coodham House has been restored to offer nine bespoke properties for potential buyers.

Prices range from £330,000 to £750,000 at the country estate just off the A77 at Symington.

The 90-acre grounds boast four kilometres of walkways and a stunning lake.

The original property, built in 1826, was named Williamfield in honour of the late William Fairlie.

His son James was the founder of Prestwick Golf Course and the inaugural British Open championship.

Coodham then became famous as a retreat for the Roman Catholic church before plans were drawn up for its return to the market.

The sale launches this Saturday and Sunday between noon and 3pm.
