GORGEOUS pooch Kerry has been dognapped.
And her devastated family desperately want her back.
They’ve appealed to Post readers to help them find their beloved springer spaniel after she was snatched from her kennel in the family garden near Sandyford at around 4pm on Wednesday, April 1.
Owner Tom Dempsey was at work and his wife Sheena was visiting her sick mum when the cruel thief tore heavy duty wire mesh from Kerry’s kennel and hauled her out.
He said: “We’re absolutely devastated. Kerry is one of the family. We just can’t believe that someone could be so cruel.
“Whoever did this wasn’t interested in breaking into the house they just wanted Kerry.
“She usually spent the day in the big kennel and run we have for her in the garden and the night in the house with us.
“She’s not used to being away from us, the wee soul will be upset.
“We’ve hardly slept since. We’ll do anything to get her back.”
Kerry is liver and white in colour and she has had her tail docked.
Her ears are very curly and she has a gold coloured tuft of fur between them.
Lorry driver Tom has spent every spare minute pounding the streets in search of his18 month old pet. He’s even contacted police, farmers, game keepers and travellers in the hope of finding her.
He said: “I’ve been everywhere, even the pubs and shops and nothing.
“I don’t think there’s anyone I’ve not been in touch with.”
