Fears grow for missing Ayrshire mother and daughter

THE FAMILY of a missing mother and daughter say they are getting more worried about their safety.

Diane Fallon, 43, and her 10-year-old daughter Holly have not been seen since last month.

And it is totally out of character for them to vanish without being in contact.

Police were alerted to their disappearance when Holly’s school contacted them last Tuesday.

Diane and Holly, from Cronberry, near Cumnock, were last seen at around 11pm on Saturday, March 28 at their home in Riverside Gardens.

Superintendent Douglas Robertson is leading the investigation: “It’s really strange for Diane and Holly not to contact anyone at all, including their family and friends.

“Diane is known to frequent the Auchinleck and Cumnock areas, but could be anywhere in Ayrshire.

“Diane and Holly may have travelled throughout Ayrshire and possibly as far as Glasgow or London.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen them on public transport in Ayrshire – or seen them elsewhere – to come forward with any information they have.”

Diane is described as white, 5'5" in height, with short brown straight hair and thin build. She was last seen wearing a cream-coloured knitted cardigan and light-coloured jeans.

Her daughter Holly is described as white, with long brown hair, green eyes and slim build. She was last seen wearing dark blue skinny jeans, dark purple padded jacket with a fur lined hood.

Anyone with information regarding Diane and Holly is asked to contact Cumnock police office on 01290 306600.
