£27m contract for Ayrshire building firm
AN Ayrshire house builder has started work on a new £27million contract.
Auchincruive-based Alexander Morton Homes is defying the recession after landing the deal with a Glasgow housing association.
Managing Director Alex Benson explained that the deal includes the transformation of a 16 acre site in the Balornock area of Glasgow, in partnership with North Glasgow Housing Association and City Building.
He said: “This unique partnership is an exciting prospect for all parties.
“North Glasgow Housing Association and City Building have proven track records in delivering successful housing and regeneration projects, and we are looking forward to working with them to create this genuine mixed-tenure development.”
The company have been established for 15 years and also hold a land bank of more than 90 acres in South Ayrshire and 30 acres in East Ayrshire.
