Two on Catrine murder charge

TWO teenagers have been charged with kicking a man to death in an Ayrshire village.

Michael Flynn, 39, was found dead in a close in Newton Street, Catrine on Friday night.

His body was found at 10.40pm.

Two 19-year-old youths have been charged with the murder of Mr Flynn of the village’s Mill Street.

It’s alleged that they repeatedly kicked him and stamped on his head.

Robert Devlin, of Garden Street in Catrine, and Mark McCulloch, of Shawlands Street in Cumnock, both appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday.

They made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
