A MAN has been accused of making sexual remarks to a woman before attacking a man with a knife sharpener and leaving him permanently disfigured.
Ewan Alexander is alleged to have committed the offences within his Ayr home.
The 26-year-old denied the charges when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court this week.
It is alleged that on August 16 last year, Alexander, of 61 Cowan Crescent, made derogatory remarks of a sexual nature to the woman, placing her in a state of fear and alarm and committing a breach of the peace.
It is further alleged that on the same date and same place, Alexander assaulted another man, punch and kick him on the head and body, repeatedly strike him on the head with a knife sharpener or similar implement to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
The trial will take place next month.
