A DRUG dealing mum caught with a stash worth hundreds of pounds has been jailed.
Joanna Hetherington had £860 of amphetamine at her home in Ayr’s Westwood Ave.
The 45-year-old, who has no previous drugs conviction, also had £210 in cash when cops searched her home on March 25 last year.
At Ayr Sheriff Court this week, Hetherington pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of the class B drug.
Appealing for leniency, defence lawyer Ian Gillies told Sheriff John Montgomery that a previous boyfriend got Hetherington into drugs.
Mr Gillies went on to say that she couldn’t fund her habit and began selling the drug.
Jailing her for six months, Sheriff Montgomery said: “Anyone involved in the supply of drugs at this level must expect a custodial sentence.”
