Hunt for Ayr plane crash site
MY uncle was Pilot Officer Rupert.C.O`Gara of 488 squadron RNZAF and he crashed his Bristol Beafighter x-ray 8263 on April 2, 1943.
The crash occurred at 2.55pm at Balig Farm, three miles south of Ayr.
I’d appreciate if readers could help me locate this farm so that I may visit it.
