Duty chemists open during the new year

COMMUNITY pharmacies open in South Ayrshire over the new year holiday period.

Wednesday, December 31, 2008: All pharmacies will open and close at their normal times with the exceptions of Morrisons, Ayr, which will close at 5.30pm, Boots, Ayr, which will close at 5pm and Stevenson Chemists, Troon, which will close at 5.30pm.

Thursday, January 1 2008: Boots the Chemist, 168/170 High Street, Ayr, 10am to noon.

Alliance Pharmacy, 22 Fullarton Street, Ayr, noon to 2pm.

Friday, January 2 2008: Boots the Chemist, 168/170 High Street, Ayr, open from 10am to 5pm.

Morrisons Pharmacy, Castlehill Road, Ayr, 9am to 6pm.

Alliance Pharmacy, 39 Dalrymple Street, Girvan, 10am to 2pm.

Your local Boots Pharmacy, Unit 5b, 47 Academy Street, Troon, 10am to 4pm.

Remember your family doctor’s (GP) surgery is open on New Year’s Eve but closed for four days until Monday, January 5, 2009.
