A HUGE cash boost is being spent on disabled households in South Ayrshire.
The council have agreed to spend the extra £400,000 after a report revealed that disabled members of the community are waiting too long on aids and adaptations.
Councillor Douglas Campbell said: “We need to act as rapidly as possible as essential equipment or home alterations can really improve the quality of life of people who need additional support.
“I would wish to ensure that no one has to wait an unreasonable time for assistance.”
